Aishani is an occupational therapist with a passion for family-centered care and helping children thrive through meaningful, child-led play. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University and went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Iona University in New York. Her interest in occupational therapy began in high school while volunteering at a hippotherapy camp for children with disabilities, an experience that sparked her commitment to supporting individuals of all abilities. During college, Aishani also participated in a service dog program, where she helped raise a black lab puppy named Kelp—an experience that strengthened her appreciation for patience, teamwork, and connection. Prior to graduate school, Aishani spent her gap year working at a non-profit agency on Long Island, providing respite services to children and adults. In this role, she supported increased community participation and helped foster meaningful friendships among peers. For the past three years, Aishani has worked as a school-based occupational therapist in New York, specializing in early intervention and preschool-aged children with intellectual disabilities. Recently relocated to the Madison area, Aishani is excited to continue her work supporting children and families by exploring all occupations of life through play, curiosity, and collaboration. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, discovering new coffee shops, taking walks near the water, reading thriller and mystery novels, and reflecting on favorite travel memories—like her summer trip to Cinque Terre.
