Amber earned her bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Arizona, completed post-baccalaureate studies in communication sciences and disorders at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and earned her master of science in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls. She has more than 10 years of experience working with children and has practiced as a speech-language pathologist in outpatient and school-based settings. Amber especially enjoys working with autistic and neurodivergent children, AAC users, and children with speech, language, and literacy needs. Her approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and centered around building trust, connection, and following each child’s interests. She loves finding creative ways to make therapy meaningful and helping children communicate in ways that feel authentic and effective for them. Amber is excited to be part of CI’s collaborative team and to learn alongside other disciplines. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafting, dancing, going to concerts, and hoping a cat eventually finds its way into her life.
