Brenna earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota and her associate’s degree as an occupational therapy assistant from Madison College (MATC). She completed an internship for her undergraduate degree at a Madison area summer camp and OT fieldwork in the school setting and in adult mental health which helped her gain valuable OT experience across the lifespan and practice settings. Brenna has previously worked for over two years in an inpatient children’s psychiatric hospital as a COTA to gain additional experience working with school-age children in the mental health setting. Additionally, Brenna has worked as both a physical education teacher and special education teacher in the Madison school district. She adores working with children and prides herself on building strong relationships with families and caregivers! Outside of work, Brenna loves spending time with her rescue dog Reckless Rose, friends, and family! She enjoys exercise and movement, especially hiking, boxing, yoga, rock climbing, and Pilates. Brenna is an avid reader and has studied film extensively in both high school and college. Brenna is a strong believer in the “just right challenge” and building kids’ confidence in their abilities. She is so excited to bring her silliness and child-centered strengths-based approach to CI!
