Catherine’s study of German at the University of Wisconsin – Madison ultimately introduced her to the field of speech-language pathology while taking a class dedicated to speaking and listening in German. After that, she took an introduction to communication sciences and disorders course and hasn’t looked back since! She completed her bachelor’s at UW-Madison with a double major in German and Communication Sciences and Disorders, and completed her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Don’t worry though, Catherine is a badger fan through and through! Prior to working at CI, Catherine worked in the schools at the preschool through high school grades with students of diverse needs including autism, DHH, vision impairments, deafblindness, as well as working with bilingual populations from both the Spanish-speaking and D/deaf communities. She is passionate about giving everyone a voice and implementing AAC. Outside of work, Catherine enjoys listening to podcasts and audiobooks, staying active, and spending time with her friends. Catherine is excited to work in this new setting and to help others become the best communicators that they can be.
