Elizabeth was born and raised in Baraboo, Wisconsin before attending UW-La Crosse to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy. While earning her Bachelor’s Degree, she interned at Gio’s Garden in Middleton, WI. She worked as a recreational therapist working with children and adolescents with various diagnoses to enhance their purposeful leisure opportunities and build life skills. Elizabeth then got her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois where she was inducted into the Occupational Therapy National Honor Society, presented at the Illinois Occupational Therapy Association Conference, and won 1 St. place for Graduate Level Research at Lewis University for her research about sensory interventions. Elizabeth has over 6 years working with children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities and is passionate about being more than just a therapist, but rather another support system and advocate for the families she works with.
Elizabeth has always been passionate about helping others and knew occupational therapy was the field for her the second she learned what it was. She loves that her job allows her to be creative and support and empower the families she works with to help everyone reach their goals and live a meaningful life full of the occupations that mean the most to them!
