Hailey worked at school in Spain for a summer, she has run two half-marathons, and she loves eating ice cream.

Hailey earned a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders and a master’s
degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Iowa. Hailey is also a graduate of
the Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Program. Through
this program she learned about family experiences, policy work, and interdisciplinary
collaboration. She is also certified in Project ImPACT, a parent coaching program for young
children with autism. Through this program she has seen the importance of parents and kids
connecting and playing together to make progress towards goals. During her placement at the
University of Iowa’s Center for Disabilities and Development, Hailey gained experience working
with a wide variety of children and families. Most recently, Hailey attended the Learn Play
Thrive Neurodiversity Summit to learn about supporting autistic individuals and how to provide
therapy tailored to each child’s unique skillset. Hailey loves including a child’s interests in her
therapy sessions and seeing them having fun while learning.
Hailey is proud to be a member of CI’s warm and caring community. When not at work, Hailey
loves taking walks around the many lakes in Madison, going to the farmer’s market, and
drinking coffee outside.
