Jess published a children’s book in 2020 called, The Hospital Bedtime Story. She is a United States Air Force Veteran. She loves the outdoors, summer heat, and sunshine!

Jess earned a bachelor’s degree in Child Life Education from Edgewood College in Madison and was certified as a Child Life Specialist in 2014. Over the years, she has provided family-centered care, child-friendly medical education, therapeutic and play-based interventions, coping and procedural support, and bereavement services to pediatric patients. Her greatest reward in her career thus far has been seeing children move from a place of fear and doubt to having confidence and mastering a new skill. Her strengths stem from her knowledge of child development and are rooted by her experience working at the bedside in direct patient care. What Jess loves most about CI is being on a 100% pediatric-focused team, collaborating closely with such amazing professionals! When Jess isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, watching the Packers, and trying new things!
