Katie’s interest in speech-language pathology began in high school when she had the opportunity to shadow a speech-language pathologist. Although she was drawn to the profession, she initially pursued a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse in May 2022. After graduating, Katie worked at a behavioral health hospital, where she gained valuable experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. Shortly thereafter, she decided to return to school to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, earning her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2025. Katie gained clinical experience in pediatric outpatient, school-based, and medical settings, providing evaluations and treatment services to individuals across a lifespan. She has experience assessing and treating a variety of communication needs, including articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, AAC, and cognitive aspects of communication. She brings energy, creativity, and compassion to every session to help children communicate with confidence and increased independence. Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, dog, and husband, as they approach their one-year wedding anniversary! She enjoys going on hikes or long walks, going to country concerts, and spending time in the sunshine.
