Laura Friedman

Laura is from New Jersey (but does not have an accent), loves traveling, and thoroughly enjoys collecting and completing jigsaw puzzles.

Laura received her Bachelor’s degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UW-Madison. She grew up with an older sister with autism, and spent time as an ABA line therapist during college. She was exposed to a broad range of child language disorders during her practicums at UW-Madison and loves helping kids find their best method of communication. She is particularly passionate about children with autism, and is currently working on a PhD at UW-Madison, where her research focuses on language development in autism and other developmental disabilities. Laura loves making therapy functional and practical, while also ensuring that everyone has a ton of fun. She is so excited to complete her clinical fellowship as a member of the CI team and she cannot wait to learn from both her colleagues and clients. In her free time, Laura enjoys being outside, especially on the lakes, spending time with friends, and trying out restaurants all over Madison.
