Liz’s favorite thing to do is spend time with her family, her dog Missy, and her two fluffy chickens. She also loves to spend time outside hiking, swimming, and reading. Liz has a major sweet tooth, especially for chocolate.

Liz was born and raised in Madison and earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Exercise Movement and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her undergraduate education, Liz volunteered for UW Madison’s No Limits Kids Fitness Program. Liz received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Rush University in Chicago, IL where she assisted in conducting research on the use of self-advocacy within occupational therapy interventions. With her research group, she has presented this research at state, national, and international occupational therapy conferences. Liz completed her doctoral capstone in therapeutic riding and the use of hippotherapy as a treatment tool in occupational therapy where she worked with diverse populations including both children and adults.

Liz values evidence-based practice, life-long learning, and holistic, strengths-based, and family- and client-centered care. She strives to provide individualized, creative, and fun treatment by collaborating with children and their families and prioritizing their interests and goals in interventions. Liz is excited to join CI’s team and cannot wait to help empower and support the children and families of CI Pediatric Therapies.
