Marie received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. During graduate school, Marie worked as a line therapist for Integrated Development Services, and as a personal care worker through Community Living Alliance. Through her work experiences, Marie was involved with providing therapy and in-home personal care to children on the Autism spectrum, and with other developmental disabilities. During graduate school, she gained clinical experience working with primarily children in both medical and school settings. Her clinical experiences included outpatient pediatric speech/language therapy at UW-Middleton Rehab. Clinic, and student teaching at Verona Area School District-Early Childhood. She has a great deal of experience working with young children with articulation and language disorders, and children who use AAC devices. Since joining the CI team, Marie has been trained in the Get Permission Approach to feeding, and has worked to help create a variety of groups at CI, especially with preschool-aged children. In her spare time, Marie loves to spend time with her family and friends, dance and practice yoga, and cheer on the Badgers!
