Marissa earned her BS and MS in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has always had a passion for working with kids, starting with babysitting and teaching swim lessons as a teen. Throughout her college years, she provided in-home therapy for children with autism. She is a kid at heart and loves to play and learn alongside the kids that she serves, so a career in pediatrics was always her goal. What could possibly be better than playing games, reading books, and doing crafts all day?! After college, Marissa moved to Minnesota, where in a clinic similar to CI she provided speech and language therapy to children of all ages and with a variety of diagnoses. She also met her husband and had two children while in Minnesota. Marissa has several friends who are a part of the CI family, so when her husband’s job brought them back to Madison, she knew CI was the place she wanted to work! She is thrilled to be a part of this creative, hard-working, fun-loving, and dedicated team! When not working, you can find Marissa playing with her kids and puppy, crafting, and planning her next Disney vacation!
