Marissa earned her B.S. and M.S. in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Marissa has always had a passion for working with kids- starting as a babysitter and swim lesson teacher as a teen and providing in-home therapy for children with autism throughout her college years. She is a kid at heart and loves to play and learn alongside the kids that she serves, so a career in pediatrics was always the goal. What could possibly be better than playing games, reading books, and doing crafts all day?! After college, Marissa moved to Minnesota, where she provided speech and language therapy to children of all ages and with a variety of diagnoses, in a clinic similar to CI. She also met her husband and had two children while in Minnesota. Marissa has several friends who are a part of the CI family, so when her husband’s job brought them back to Madison, she knew CI was the place she wanted to work! She is thrilled to be a part of this creative, hard-working, fun-loving, and dedicated team! When not working, you can find Marissa playing with her kids and puppy, crafting, and planning her next Disney vacation!
