Rachel earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication sciences and disorders and her master of science in speech-language pathology from Augustana College in the Quad Cities. One of her favorite experiences was volunteering with Friendship Island, an informal friendship hangout for adolescents with autism. Rachel has previous experience working for an Area Education Agency in Iowa. During her time in the Iowa schools, she gained experience working with children aged three to 21 with a wide range of communication disorders. Rachel has a passion for Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and believes in the importance of ensuring everyone has access to communication. She strives to build meaningful relationships with clients and their loved ones. She takes a client-centered approach, where she includes the client and their loved ones in all decision-making. In her free time, she loves to bake sour dough, learn new recipes, spend time with family, and go on walks with her dog, Chloe!
