Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, and has been a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist serving people in aquatics and fitness as well as mental health. Sarah completed her doctoral degree in occupational therapy at the University of Minnesota. During her graduate career, she had a pediatric placement at a school setting and capstone at a community pre/postnatal setting. Sarah’s career path led her to working with children at an inpatient mental health facility, where she grew her knowledge in emotional regulation, learning about creating sensory toolkits, and the healing power of physical activity. Sarah is excited to get to add play, creativity, and aquatics back into her day with the CI team! In her free time, you can find her running, curling up reading a book, or watching a good movie with her pups Cooper and Alfred, and her husband.
