Shelby earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from UW – La Crosse, and she earned her doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Dakota. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disorders program (LEND) through USD’s Center for Disabilities, where she received specialized training in interdisciplinary care and treatment for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. She is passionate about trauma-informed care, social justice and inclusion, sensory integration, and feeding development. Shelby loves to incorporate her client’s passions into each therapy session to facilitate client-centered and fun therapeutic play. In her free time, you can find her biking, cooking, hammocking, crocheting, and spending time with family. Shelby is thrilled to be a part of the CI team and is looking forward to serving such a wonderful community.
